This third barometer presents the progress of Financi’Elles on its 10 commitments’ charter, made by the leaders of member companies in 2021 during the celebration of the federation's 10th year, celebrated with Christine Lagarde, Finance’Elles godmother.
With an overall score of 30.8 over 40, or 77% fulfillment of the commitments (vs 75% in 2023), the results of 2024 demonstrates the multiple efforts and ambitious policies of the member companies whose gender diversity networks are part of the federation to advance professional gender equality.
As in 2023, the commitment for companies to set ambitious targets for women in management bodies, with regular measurement indicators, achieved the highest score. In fact, most of them have already met the requirements of the Rixain law (35% women in senior management by March 2026). Companies are also paying particular attention to the balance between men's and women's lifestyles, and make up for any unjustified discrepancies between the sexes by setting up specific envelopes.
In 2024, a number of major advances have been made, such as the introduction of ambitious career development programs specifically designed for women (training, mentoring, sponsorship, female leadership), initiatives aimed at young people to promote professional equality and gender diversity in the workplace (partnerships with schools to highlight female career paths, hosting 3rd grade interns to raise awareness of stereotypes, tech career discovery programs) and efforts to create more inclusive career paths. In this respect, in addition to the actions around parenthood, there is a clear desire to promote non-stereotyped career paths, taking into account the diversity of situations (family carers, sabbaticals, etc.).
“The results of this third edition of the Financi'Elles barometer, which showed a slight increase, are encouraging insofar as they confirm the commitments of our banking, finance and insurance sector to work in a sustainable way for gender diversity in management bodies and, more broadly, for professional equality. This shared governance, which the federation has been calling for, is a guarantee of performance and attractiveness.
Exchanges throughout the year between gender diversity networks within companies and our partners during virtual breakfasts on each of the Charter's commitments have also enabled us to share successful experiences and multiply their impact”, declare Camille Eymard and Ludivine Labarre, Co-Presidents of Financi'Elles.
